Information You Provide: Your chosen Display Name and any email address/Player ID submitted via our support or data request forms.
Automated Collection: A unique Player ID generated by the app, IP address, device model, and OS version.
Gameplay Data: High scores, leaderboard ranking, and virtual currency (Doubloon) balances.
In-App Purchase Data: We receive transaction receipts from Google Play to validate and deliver your purchases. This includes maintaining a record of non-consumable entitlements (such as "Remove Ads") to ensure they remain active across your devices.
Community Interaction: If you choose to join our official Discord server, we may see your Discord username and any information you voluntarily post in our community channels. We do not link this information to your in-game progress or device ID.

3. Why We Process Your Data

We only use your data where we have a legal basis:

Contract: To run the game, save your scores, and provide support.
Legal Obligation: To maintain financial records for tax purposes or respond to legal data requests.
Legitimate Interests: To improve game performance and ensure security (fraud prevention).

4. Third-Party Sharing & Social Media

Our "Share Stack" feature allows you to capture screenshots of your gameplay to share via third-party applications (such as Discord, WhatsApp, or X) using your device's native sharing functionality. Dexy Games Ltd does not collect, store, or have access to these images or the data you share through these third-party platforms. Your use of these sharing features is governed by the privacy policies of the respective social media services.

5. International Transfers

Because our partners (Microsoft and Google) use global servers, your data may be stored outside the UK, primarily in the USA. We ensure these transfers are protected by standard contractual clauses approved by the UK Government.

6. Children’s Privacy

Captain's Haul is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we discover such data has been collected, we will delete it immediately.

7. Your Rights & Deletion

8. Data Retention

Financial Records: Retained for 6 years as required by UK HMRC tax law.
